Things to be mentioned in CV

      1. Purpose of internship

      2 .Research interest

      3. Methogology (Laboratory or field or numerical)

      4. List of past publications (if any)

*Note: It is better to go through my research summary and if possible list of publications before applying for Project. You are most welcome to ask doubts related to research topic

Brief Summary of my research

My major research work is improving "Fundamental understanding on effect of vegetation on soil properties". Soil properties such as hydraulic conductivitiy and soil water retention properties are investigated. In addition, mechanical effects of roots as fiber reinforcement is also evaluated. Three different methodologies such as laboratory testing, field monitoring as well as numerical analysis is used to achieve a particular objective.

For Project interns, you can choose any of these methodolgies. One do not need any prior knowledge of vegetation transpiration. However, some basic concepts of soil mechanics (Darcy's flow; hydraulic conductivitiy ;soil water retention properties; Richards equation) is always beneficial.

Training

     1. Understanding of "research' and knowledge on latest "Trending" Inter-disciplinary research topics

     2. How to do a rigoruous literature review of paper or in other words "How to read and digest journal?"

     3. Understanding of advantanges and disadvantatges of different methodologies required to achieve objectives

     4. Interpret results based on fundamental concepts of soil mechanics

     5. Correlate research with applications in field
